The Adrian City Commission approved a contract for interim city administrator Ted Andrzejewski at its Sept. 8 meeting. The city will pay Andrzejewski a salary equivalent to $155,626 per year, plus $1,000 per month toward housing and the use of his personal vehicle and cell phone for city business. Unlike most contracts for permanent employees, the agreement does not require the city to pay any severance when it ends Andrzejewski’s employment, since the contract is intended as a short-term arrangement that will end when the city hires a permanent replacement. The city commission voted 7-0 to approve the contract.
