Upcoming technology classes at Adrian District Library

The Adrian District Library is hosting classes in April on Zoom and cybersecurity basics.

ADRIAN — The Adrian District Library is hosting in-person classes to help participants gain confidence and new skills using Zoom and learn more about cybersecurity basics.

All classes will be held at the library, which is at 143 E. Maumee St. in downtown Adrian. 

Intro to Zoom: Wednesday, April 15, from 1-2:45 p.m. In this workshop, attendees will learn how to create an account on Zoom, a popular video conference platform, and build confidence when using features of the platform in an online meeting. You can bring your own laptop if you prefer, but it is not required. 

Staying Safe Online — Cybersecurity Basics: Wednesday, April 22, from 1-2:45 p.m. or 6-7:45 p.m. This in-person workshop is for those who are interested in safety online and want to protect themselves from fraudsters and scams. It will build participants’ confidence when they are visiting websites, creating passwords, and responding to email. Bring your own laptop if you prefer, but not required. There are two sessions available.
