ADRIAN — The ProMedica Adrian Ebeid Neighborhood Promise completed its second full calendar year of operation in 2025 and saw significant growth, according to the project’s annual update.
Partnerships with the Adrian Dominican Sisters Resilient Communities Initiative, Boys and Girls Club of Lenawee, Adrian Public Schools, Lenawee Community Foundation and over 60 other community-based organizations catalyzed 159 workshops offered in east Adrian at no cost.
More than 1,600 community members of all ages participated in a workshop, class, program or event at the Ebeid Center located at Comstock School in 2025.
This represents an increase of 109% over 2024, when 809 community members participated in 100 workshops.
In 2025, each offering averaged 10 participants with an average of 137 participants per month. Offerings ranged from credit education, Rent for Success, parenting classes, Mental Health First Aid, health and wellness programs, and a Road to Restoration clinic that provided free attorneys and Secretary of State personnel to assist in reinstating driving privileges.
The East Adrian Community Coalition contributed by hosting numerous activities and social gatherings to increase community engagement and build social cohesion.
Two impactful additions in 2025 were ProMedica’s first annual Health in the Heart of Adrian health fair, as well as exercise, yoga and other activities offered by the YMCA.
“ProMedica recognizes that bringing health resources and services to east Adrian ensures that residents have equitable access to wellness programming, preventative care and supportive services,” said De’Angelo Boone, coordinator of education and programming for Adrian Ebeid.
Each month a new ProMedica Adrian Ebeid Neighborhood Promise schedule of classes, programs, workshops and community events is published and posted on their Facebook page, available at the Adrian District Library and at numerous other locations. All program offerings at the Adrian Ebeid Center are free to the public. For more information, email AdrianENP@ProMedica.org or call 517-264-1365.
