
ADRIAN — Due to heavy rain and runoff, the city of Adrian experienced sanitary sewer overflows at several locations on July 5 between about 7:30 a.m. and noon.
The affected areas are along the south branch of the River Raisin.
According to utilities director and acting city administrator Will Sadler, the Lenawee County Health Department has been notified and water quality samples are being taken. Residents are advised to avoid direct contact with the River Raisin until notified otherwise.
