The renewal of Citizens Gas Fuel Co.’s franchise agreement to provide natural gas in the city of Adrian passed easily in the Nov. 4 election.

The unofficial vote total was 2,609 in favor of renewing the franchise for another 30 years, and 535 against. That’s well in excess of the 60% margin that was required to approve the measure.
