ADRIAN — An employment agreement for Adrian’s new city administrator was approved at the Sept. 2 commission meeting, and new administrator Chad Baugh is scheduled to start work on Sept. 22.

Baugh is currently the director of police services for Canton Township but has ties to Adrian, and also owns a home nearby. He attended the Sept. 2 commission meeting and told commissioners he is humbled by the opportunity to serve.

“I can’t wait to get in the building, in the community day-to-day, working with you,” he said.

The salary for the position, which is based on the city’s wage schedule, will start at $150,363 per year plus benefits.
