VanSteenkiste-Amador Scholarship Fund seeks teams for softball tournament

BLISSFIELD — The Ronnie Lee Legacy Foundation, which runs a scholarship fund in memory of Ronnie Lee VanSteenkiste-Amador, is seeking participants for its annual slow-pitch softball tournament, which will be held on June 20 at Ellis Park in Blissfield.

Each team must have a minimum of nine players, with a maximum of twelve. The team registration fee includes ten team T-shirts. Participants must be 16 years of age or older to compete, and those under 18 must have parental permission.

The registration deadline is May 15. 

VanSteenkiste-Amador was a 2016 graduate of Blissfield High School and a first-generation college student. After attending Adrian College she started coaching the Blissfield High School JV softball team. She died in August 2022 from injuries sustained in a car accident.
