BLISSFIELD — The village of Blissfield is considering the future of its recreation programs. A discussion of programming and staffing, including the position of parks and recreation program coordinator, is scheduled for the next village council meeting, which will be at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12.
Options under consideration include continuing the position on a part-time basis or eliminating it entirely, according to a statement from village administrator Danielle Gross.
If the position were eliminated, the village would no longer administer parks and recreation programs but would continue to support and provide guidance to volunteers interested in leading programs.
