ADRIAN — The Lenawee County Family Researchers will welcome Lt. Jeff Betz to their January meeting for a presentation about the history of Adrian’s fire department, which was established on June 19, 1841.

The talk will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, at the Lenawee County Historical Museum, 110 E. Church St., Adrian.

Betz has been collecting its stories and history for many years. His firefighting career includes 23 years with the Madison Township department and 26 years with the city.
