ADRIAN — The Michigan Department of Transportation is continuing its resurfacing project along M-52 in Adrian. The next phase will begin on Monday, Aug. 18, and will affect the downtown area.

M-52 along Church, Broad and Front streets will be closed, and traffic will be detoured along Winter Street, according to a news release from the city of Adrian.

The entire project runs from Beecher Street to Siena Heights Drive. In addition to resurfacing, it includes the construction of sidewalks compatible with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Drivers should expect delays.
