Clemes)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ONSTED \u2014 Onsted has a new addition to make it easier to take the summer heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. Moo\u2019s Ice Cream &amp; More is a family endeavor, with Tammy Perras and boyfriend Steve Crist operating the store along with Tammy\u2019s son Shae Perras, his fianc\u00e9e Brittany Stepnowski, and Stepnowski\u2019s son, Cruz Hubbard. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perras has experience with running an ice cream establishment, as she previously owned the Swiss Swirl in Brooklyn 20 years ago.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. Moo\u2019s opened on June 28, and Perras said the reception has been \u201coverwhelming.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s better than we could have ever expected,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. Moo\u2019s uses a unique process to create their ice cream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s not your regular ice cream,\u201d Tammy said. \u201cWe use a two-step process.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. Moo\u2019s has walk-up and drive-through service.&nbsp; Picnic tables and a gazebo are available for customers to sit and enjoy their ice cream treats. The menu currently includes both hand-dipped and soft-serve ice cream. Cones are served in regular and waffle cones.&nbsp; Sundae toppings include nine choices as well as pecans, banana and chocolate chips. Among the favorites are specialties such as \u201cThe Blob,\u201d \u201cDirty Worm,\u201d \u201cThe Blob\u201d and a favorite, the Banana Split.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Flurries can be made with a choice of nine mix-ins and feature a choice of 10 favorites, including the \u201cIrish Hills Jubilee.\u201d Parfaits feature two flurry items, syrup, whipped cream and a cherry, served in a cup. \u201cThe Cruz\u201d is a featured parfait item.&nbsp; The store also offers floats, coolers, slushies, glaciers and freezes, and shakes and malts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. Moo\u2019s also features \u201cLuLu\u2019s Doggie Treat,\u201d which is vanilla ice cream and a Milk Bone dog biscuit served in a cup for customers who want a treat for their dog. Proceeds from the \u201cpup cup\u201d go toward a monthly donation to the Lenawee Humane Society, Stepnowski said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. Moo\u2019s will soon be offering a regular menu along with the ice cream treats. Bubble waffles, \u201cpizza on a stick,\u201d chili dogs, nachos and \u201cSirloin Smash Sliders\u201d are some of the items the owners plan to carry. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stepnowski hopes the unique ice cream items at Mr. Moo\u2019s will be a draw for customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe hope to be a destination ice cream store with specialty items that no one else carries,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019re hoping to set the standard,\u201d Shae Perras added.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. Moo\u2019s Ice Cream &amp; More is located at 8877 Onsted Highway in Onsted.
